The Boeing 777 is a wide-body airliner developed and manufactured by Boeing Commercial Airplanes. It is the world's largest twinjet and commonly referred to as the Triple Seven. The 777 was designed to bridge the gap between Boeing's 767 and 747, and to replace older DC-10s or L-1011s. Boeing 777 vs Airbus A350-1000. Boeing engineered the 777 for 9-abreast in Y. AF was one of the first airlines to squeeze 10-abreast. As a consequence, ridiculously narrow seats, quasi inexistant arm rests, terribly narrow aisles making FA service horrible (they confided to me), and light switch relocated to video screen, which means three or four steps (plus knock on back of passenger in front) when you just want.
